"In 1944 the interest in combining elements presented by paper and the ability to offer something truly artistic and interesting was what led me to elaborate a journal combining the artistic with the functional. At the start I began making journals with simple pulps and the interest lay in the recycling of wasted paper. Little by little I changed the presentations until I arrived at the point of developing diverse methods of production in order to offer handmade products of high-quality materials. Currently my wife and I make our own paper for the covers; they are elaborated with recycled paper and/or natural fibers like agave, corn, oat, cotton, etc. The binding processes are rustic and done by hand, as is the repoussé work displayed on the front.

"Our objective is to provide the public with a large variety of paper products possessing an artistic and original touch - with the highest quality. Our ecological commitment is to participate in the conservation of nature, utilizing recycling and elaborating paper with natural fibers."

The creation process begins with the mixture of recycled paper and natural fibers. Once the color is added, the pulp is drained over a sieve and spread out in sheets on cotton cloth. A roller squeezes out any excess water and the cover is bound to the book.
