"Sawasdee kaa! I'm Panjan Srisuttha and I come from a town far away from Chiang Mai where people are mainly occupied in handmade cotton textiles. After my graduation, I got married and came back to live in my hometown. I have a happy family and I love taking care of my son.
"I love designing and creating decorative items for home. I prefer to use local materials for my products, and it makes me feel very happy when customers like my designs. The customers' satisfaction encourages me to keep working and making new things.
"I moved closer to Chiang Mai in order to make it easier for customers interested in my products, as well as to be nearer to my son's school. I started designing different types of products before the notebooks, which are my favorites. It all started in 2000, when I decided to join a local competition. My very first product was a bookshelf that can also be used as a picture frame. I love to do new things, different from everyone else, and I won the competition with my original bookshelf-picture frame!
"I enjoy working in the house, and decorating my home with new decorative items. I love art but have never taken any formal courses, most of what I know comes from what I have read. I learn about art through my feelings.
"I grew up in the Thai countryside, and my parents taught me to respect Buddhism and Thai culture. We always go to the temple and follow our traditions.
"My work is a good reflection of what's in my mind. I live in a house surrounded by many trees that make me live with happiness. I love nature so much and I am aware that my natural surroundings have a strong effect on me. My intention is create more and more handmade products from natural materials."
